Horse Head Sculptures with Reclaimed Steel and Antique Wood

Tolley Marney's new horse sculptures, Independence and Guardian, shown on the work bench a few moments after completion. Reclaimed steel shaped and turned with traditional blacksmith techniques and antique wood inlayed into each sculpture meld warmth with strength. These are truly beautiful new sculptures.

The reclaimed steel is mostly used horseshoes Tolley’s son saves for him. Kyle, his son, took over Tolley’s farrier trade a few years back and saves discarded shoes for his father’s sculptures. Each shoe has traces of each ride on the nearby the desert and mountain trails.

Antique wood repurposed from antique 19th century and early 20th century wood furniture Tolley buys at auctions fill and create the forms and lines of this stunning horse sculpture. Become a collector.

Tolley finished two horse horse sculptures, both made with antique mission oak (circa 1910) and reclaimed steel.
